Linux versions still at 3.6.2 in software centers, but AppImage is 4.4.3

Hello, ex-Finale user here. I am migrating to Linux and have tested Musescore both in Linux Mint and Ubuntu. Both work fine, but I had some start-up problems in Ubuntu, solved them with a bit of ChatGPT and Reddit (installing fuse2). But latest Musescore version in App Center / Flathub is 3.6.2 so I had to download v4.3 as an AppImage. With Finale's impending shutdown next year, wouldn't it be in MuseScore's best interest to release 4.3 in the Linux software centers so it can attract more users, now that some of us Finale users are looking for a new home? Easy installs are important for Linux newbies. I'm not continuing my music notation on Windows 11, thank you.

Repositories or "software centers" as you call them, are cared by Linux distributions, Musescore has no control on them, Fedora is at 4.3.2, Ubuntu and related derivates (Mint) much behind. But anyway Musescore works much better with Appimages on Linux, and it is the only official package recognized by Musescore team. And anyway Finale users don't use Linux.

My main reason for having several is that some people post scores from older versions and I can look at their score, make corrections or additions and post the score back in their format. I also sometimes like to open an old score in an old version to see what it looks like before opening it in a new version and converting it. All those Appimages take up only 0.33% of my SSD storage space.

Your reasoning makes sense. I have different reasons for maybe wanting to be able to use older appimages. (Two of which are a non-functioning mixer & random crashes that seem to be endemic to the MS 4.4.2 in Ubuntu Linux.) So, I'm wanting to download the same ones you've shown on your screen capture. However, From Github, are you aware of a preference, or not, for the zsync version of the appimage file, if available?
