After you've downloaded it, it goes in the plugins folder. You can find the folder in MuseScore Studio menu > Preferences... > Folders. Put it there, restart MuseScore, go to the plugins menu > Manage Plugins... and, if it's in the Disabled section, click on the icon, and click Enable. Restart MuseScore.
Thank you for confirming. Sadly, my publisher insists on bolder tab, and now I have to redo almost 200 examples using a free trial of a competing product.
Well, export your files (these "examples") in MusicXML format, then reopen them with Version 3 (say, 3.6.2), with which you'll be able to use this plugin. Both versions 3 and 4 can coexist perfectly on the same system, so it's not a problem. Or, without having to go through the XML format, via the unofficial version 3.7 Evolution, which will open your V4 files directly.
It was actually my Recorder Fingering plugin that got ported from MS3 to MS4 but TAB Bold should be just as easy. I have only recently started using MS4 and haven't got as far as the plugin API but I'll take a look at the weekend.
Glad to hear it. I think that many more fonts could easily be added with MS4 because it can access all OS installed fonts. Segoe UI Semibold on Windows looks pretty good.

I guess you are using Version 4 (eg the last 4.5.2) ?
Compatibility of this plugin is only for Version 3 (eg 3.6.2)

Use MS3.7 as it can open MS4 scores.

I seem to recall that someone made a version that works with MS4. It's a very basic plugin and doesn't need anything specific from MS3's plugin api.
