MIDI Keyboard Input on V 0.9.6

• Jun 21, 2010 - 01:08

I am unable to get Musescore to accept input from a MIDI keyboard.

Running WIndows XP, SP2
JackServer 0.3.4.10

Steps used.

Start Jack server
Start Musescore.
In Jack Connect Musescore output to Systemplayback 1
In Jack Connect System Capture to Systemplayback 1 (only port visible)

On Musescore, press play. Keyboard Plays
Press N to go into note entry. Press keys on MIDI keyboard - No response.

I have done a Factory restore.

I've attached a screen shot of both Jackserver and the connect screen and the IO ports screen in Musescore.
Note that on the I/O screen, the DropDownBox for Choose PortMidi Input is blank. It does not contain any items.

Can someone give me some direction on this? In the prior version of Musescore, I had MIDI input, but no output.

Thanks

Tim

of PortAudio and Downloaded a pre-compiled .DLL named PABIO.DLL from the PortAudio site. I put it in the Bin directory under Musescore and while I have PortAudio Selected, the drop down boxes for them are still blank. I have a feeling it is something about installing the DLL, or adding a reference to it somewhere. Can any one help me? I do not have a compiler to do anything with the PortAudio Source Code, and there is nothing in the MuseScore manual that is helpful.

Thanks in advance.
