Soundfont not locating in file
Hi! I'm using Vista home. Downloaded version 0,9,6,1 but on opening the musescore from the start menue I get a window saying the sound file has an error and to open the musescore - go to Display - synthesiser and check the location is correct.
As I'm fairly new to computors I uninstalled and downloaded again - several times - but stil the same thing, and when I press play it's silent!
What is the location supposed to be?
How do I change the location if it is wrong? (I tried to overwrite what was there, but it doesn't work!)
I'm an experienced musician, but a novice on computors. Please keep it simple.
Thanks for your help. Gunnerpancho.

You can change the path to the soundfont in Display -> Synthesizer. Click the small folder on the right and go to
C:\Program Files\MuseScore\sound
. Pick theTimGM6mb.sf2

That worked (I think it's OK), but the keyboard still doesn't enter notes/pitch on the stave. Both the 'enable sound' and 'enable midi' are hi-lited. Can you give any more help please? Remember to keep it simple! Thanks-a-lot. G. >=iii=()

Are talking about your computer keyboard or your midi keyboard?
For the midi keyboard, visit Edit->Preferences->I/O and check if your keyboard is selected in the PortMidi section (the last one)
