How to write a BbMaj7
Hello !
I read the page on how to write chords with MS. Simple chords are fine (like F7), but when I try to enter a BbMaj7 with this exact notation, it doesn't recognize the chords. Can someone tell me how does this chord must be written to be recognized as a chord by MS please ?

I assume you mean chord symbols. Which Version of MuseScore and what chord symbol style?

Here's how it Looks in MuseScore 2.0.2 with the standard style:

I use MuseScore 1.3 (the available version in ubuntu packages). As you can see on the attached picture, when I enter 'Bb', MuseScore recognize the chords and correctly minimisez the 'b' and put it a little higher (I selected Jazz text type). However, there is no transformation for my Bbmaj7 and the chord is so long that it's written on the chord of the next measure (that I removed for you to see what does the chord look like).

Hi Sébastian, could you upgrade to 2.0.2 following the instructions at https://musescore.org/en/apt There is years of development difference between 1.3 and 2.x.
