Electric Guitar Gain Etc.
Hi,
Is it possible to modify the sound of instruments in a similar manner to how outboard equipment does (in particular, for the electric guitar instrument) in Musescore?
Thanks for your time,
Tyler

If the soundfont you are using has these sounds included, then you should be able access them in MuseScore, But the default soundfont has only the standard General MIDI sounds. You'd have to find a soundfont with a wider variety of guitar sounds. Do note that reverb and chorus are available (see the Synthesizer window), but that's global - I don't think there is a way to change the those settings over the course of a score. You can use the Mixer to control how much is applied to each instrument, though.

Thanks for the recommendation. The new soundfonts do sound more relistic, but they don't have any options for an overdriven guitar, or similar. I've looked for a soundfont of an overdriven or distorted guitar, but haven't found on yet.

I don't know, I just Googled "soudfont guitar" and the very first two hits had several promising candidates.
