Guitar notation and midi playback
Hi!
MuseScore is a great soft! But I've dug some tools and cannot find. My mscore uses the soundfont "synthgms.sf2" instead the standard one. How do I do to change midi instrument voice while editing the score? Example: I've started some piano score and want it to sound like a flute.
More: when the electric guitar staff is chosen, there's only the clean tone available or can a distorted tone be selected?

At the moment there isn't a way to change the sound of a score after you have already created it. However you can copy and paste the notes into a new score with flute.

Changing the sound of a staff should be possible in the mixer. The sound combobox presents a list of all available instruments of the loaded soundfont. Selecting a different instrument immediately changes the sound. This new sound is also remembered in the score file.

Unfortunately it doesn't work here, the field keeps blank when the cursor selects the arrow. The field turn on blue color and no text appears. Check the image.
How to do the "let ring" technique on guitar in the soft?

Confirmed. I just assumed it wasn't implemented yet. I opened up a bug report: http://musescore.org/en/node/1796
