grace notes do not sound

Hello

Thanks for making musescore -- nice work.
This is my first score and the grace notes in the bass of first bar dont sound. Elsewhere they sound

I tried erasing those grace notes and re-entering -- no sound
I added more grace notes in the first bar -- they too did not sound
I copy-pasted the first bar into a (new) second bar -- that one sounds tho not the first.
That suggests some kind of workaround but still would like to know if this is a bug...

No that was not it -- its not working even with an empty first bar.
Currently when Ive reduced the 4 grace notes to 3 its sounding

Dont know where to get a precompiled deb.
The sourceforge link has only 0.9.5 precompiled and sources for 1.1

So I downloaded the sources and tried compiling.

I get errors.
The strange thing is that if I try running make again it says remove build -- so I must make the full build again and again?

I would guess I am missing something basic...
Dont mind going through all that but it would be nice to get a deb or executable...
