No sound, no audio, ms 1.2, rev 5470, windows 7
Hi support people,
I have no sound from MuseScore. Sound good from other things, like youtube, It was good yesterday, then today, no sound.
One change on this computer (home computer, lenovo brand, cheap) - Last night, looking at photos on computer, we got prompted for an update of "Windows Photo Gallery", damn them, okay, ran the update. Now next day, no sound from MuseScore. Coincidence? Or evil empire?
I tried different fonts, not sound. Browsed the forum, seems that 1.2 musescore had some sound probs, but I didn't see anything recent. I uninstalled and reinstalled this rev, still no sound.
When I play any piece, like REunion sample, I can see in the synth box, the green bar bouncing up and down in the volume indicator thing.
I checked the "Enable Script Debugger" but I can't figure if/where it writes to.
I used to work in tech supp field long ago, so if you give me instructions, I will follow. If you want me to uninstall "Photo Gallery", then how? I doesn't show up on the windows Control Panel > "PRograms" list.
please help me, I can't live with out MuseScore! Thanks.

Preferences, mixer, synthesizer are set as in picture.
If the green bar bouncing, should be ok.
Controls obvious (that you done?) as Windows mixer: musescore panel .

Thank you Thomas !!!
I followed the steps in your example, and my ears are bathed in sound! Reunion is a really nice piece.
Observation... When I checked the Windows 7 mixer volume, it did not look like Franz/shoichi's example ...Volume.jpg. My firefox browser and other stuff were listed with Speakers, but MuseScore was in a different frame, called SPDF Interface. After I ran musescore F, then musescore was listing in the box with Speakers, firefox, etc.
Also, I've changed from Tim soundfont to Fluid, it still works. Don't know why uninstall/reinstall did not fix, maybe/probably stuff stayed in the registry after uninstall? Thank you all of you, let me know if you have more questions about this situation. I am happy camper.

Just to be clear - can you play MIDI files etc from Windows Media Player OK?
For other software (for example, own Firefox) is preferable do a "clean" installation. Some folders are hidden, as a precaution, but you have to remove them manually. Maybe it's something like that "you need to delete the MuseScore profile folder": http://prereleases.musescore.org/windows/nightly/
But if you do not feel secure better give up, Franz.
