How do I upgrade?
Hi guys, first of all thanks for your work in this great program, which is getting even better with the upgrades.
My problem is that I can´t get to upgrade from 2.0.3 to 2.1
I have downloaded the file that supposedly should do it when run. It´s called MuseScore-2.1 and it weighs 54.5 mb. Its wizard presents me with 3 options: CHANGE (which is greyed out, and doesn´t work); REPAIR and REMOVE.
I wonder if I must remove the program in order to update, but I fear losing all my configs
REPAIR seems to operate some task, but when I reopen the program it still says it´s version 2.0.3
Mind, I haven´t rebooted my pc yet
Thanks for your help

What operating system are you on?
@Trueno33, make sure you download from the official page: https://musescore.org/en/download
Take a look at: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/installation
It is not necessary but, for prudence, make a copy of your * .mscz files

Thanks for your replies. I´m using win10 64bits
Anyways, I found that actually the new version was installed in the folder just above the one where version 2.0.3 is installed. So, the old installation folder is now inside the new installation folder, with the rest of the other files and folders that where usually there.
Guess the install wizard messed up the paths or something. I think that it´s interesting that you guys have this info and I´m curious to know if I´m the only one who has experienced this.
thanks in any case

I haven't heard of it. I'm on Windows 10 as well, and we've had probably hundreds of thousands (?) of installs on that OS by now. not sure what went wrong here. Is it basically working OK now except for being weird?
I have heard that in order to install a new version, Windows installers like to be able to find the *old* installer in order to correctly uninstall things. Maybe if something went wrong there, that might explain it?

thanks mark, I´m running v2.1 now, no problem. Just moved the files that didn´t belong there and it´s solved. We´ll see how next update works...
