Format > Style > Page Settings Do Not Appear To Take Effect
I've just created a score. The score contains four grand staves. Each staff is populated with notes and rests.
I click Format > Page Settings and set my margins.
Next, I click Format > Style and set my various distances.
When I'm done setting the distances, I click OK and the Style window closes.
When I look at my score, nothing changed. Why is this?

In order to understand and assist, we would need you to attach your score. Works fine for me. Most likely, you are not changing any distances actually relevant to your score (eg, staff distance has no relevance for a score with only one staff, grand staff distance has no meaning for a score without a grand staff. system min & max distance have very specific meaning and you need to set the right one for the specific effect you are trying to achieve).

@skrontle, forgotten something?
;-)
Edit: You probably need to refresh the page, I had the same problem just now, the file was not attached.

So, which setting are you finding isn't working as you expect? I see that you have increased grand staff distance, and sure enough, there is extra space between the staves of the grand staff than the default. I see you have decrease min system distance and sure enough, there is less space between systems than the default. Seems to be doing exactly what you asked it to do. So I'm guessing, you were wanting to ask it to do something different but don't know how. Have you read the section of the Handbook on page layout> It explains much.
If you continue to have trouble, please explain what you were trying to do, and we can assist further.
