strike
i was looking for a notation for striking the violin strings with the hand and put "strike" into the search box at the bottom of the Palettes and a big selection of connected notes, from 2 to maybe 8 came up; what do those markings mean?

I'm not finding anything when I search for "strike" in the palettes or master palette.

open Palettes and at the bottom there is a search box, type in "strike"; did you do this?

Oh, I tried it in 3.3-RC but that palette has been moved from the advanced palettes. Those are bagpipe embellishments which are in a palette in the advanced workspace.
