Divisi staff
How can I create divisi staff in certain places WITHOUT split staff? Both voices I need to write are not separated by its notes. What I mean is that the second voice is doing D4 while the first one is doing C4 and F4.

You wrote WITHOUT split staff...
Use a 2nd staff and "Hide empty staves" then. Optionally the divisi symbol

Yes, without split staff because it's actually the same staff. I need two independent staves.

Not exactly. I want two equal staves. One for solo and another for tutti, but the soloist plays with the tutti at some places.

Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to have divisi staves like that mallet example form Munachi.
There are parts where strings, for example, need divisi that can't be written on the same staff. I would love a way to add just the measures that need divisi, and have it look like that example.
We could create another part and hide staves, but then there's a staff across the whole page with empty measures. To clarify for a conductor, setting it up like that example would be ideal.
Is there a way to do that?

That worked! Thanks so much; you have no idea how long I've looked for this. Didn't know it was called cutaway.
With that trick and the new 3.6 version, this score's going to look great. Every version gets better and better...
