how to show lowest & highest notes
How can I make thumbnails of a part's lowest & highest notes, such that if I transpose the entire song, the thumbnails will transpose, too?
See attachment of what I want to do.

At least with MuseScore it's possible to indicate the range via "ambitus", see: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/early-music-features#ambitus
If you want to add it as in your example, I think it's only possible to insert it as an image, maybe use the image capture for it: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/image-capture

Ambitus works for me. Thanx!

Thanks for that. Fantastic! — It would be a nice touch if the range were 'live', that is that it would adjust in response to a Transpose operation.
For example if a baritone singer wants to transpose a piece for tenor down so that it fits his range.
Also, at present, if you drag the ambitus symbol onto the bar where the ambitus is already displayed, rather than updating the diplayed ambitus it deletes it. That doesn't seem intuitive to me ...

Well, there's no need to use drag. To edit the ambitus, just 2 clicks. Click on the ambitus symbol, and on the "Update..." tab in Properties - image below. That's all there is to it.

That's true, in the best case. But if the Properties panel is not active, we need also to do F7 --> 3 clicks.
