Changing a 9/8 to 3/4 time signature so that dotted quarter = quarter

• Jan 2, 2020 - 17:31

Please have a look at bars 5 and 6 of the original printed score and my musescore transcription. Is there a way I can notate those bars as 3/4 and 2/4 adding the indication that dotted quarter = quarter, like it appears on the original score? I believe this is a common notation but couldn't find a way to do it with Musescore. Of course I could write them normally as 3/4 and 2/4 and tinker with the tempo to get the same effect, but I would like to have a more elegant solution. Thanks a lot!

While editing the text, you can use the Special Characters window (press F2 to display it, or click the icon at the left of the text toolbar) and add all the symbols you like. Might be tricky to create that fraction, you could be better off mocking that in a text editor or graphics program then pasting it in that way.
