Writing doubly-dotted notes
I tried the handbook, but I could not find the answer to my question. I have a piece I am writing using many, many double dotted notes. I know I must press 5, for instance, if I want a quarter note, then I must move the cursor to the double dot icon at the top, then enter the note. Doing so many notes like this, is there an easier way to enter this ? I can't seem to find a shortcut key that will do it.
Thanks!
Scott

Outstanding! Thanks! This should save a lot of time.
I see that i can do this for other applications so long as i find a character or combination to use for each change.

I use the exclamation mark for double-dot:
5 ! A
I also have shortcuts for Beam Start, Beam Middle, sharp, flat, double-sharp, neutral etc. I have attached my shortcuts.xml file - if you want to try it, find your shortcut file (the handbook will tell you where it is stored on your OS), rename your file and copy mine into the directory. It's a good idea to keep copies of setup files, custom palettes, etc. because if you ever have to do a factory reset you can qickly restore them.
