plug-in for conversion of a 12/8 score to 4/4 with trioles
I have a score that has been set as 12/8 rhythm from our choir leader.
Looking at it, it looks very much to be 4/4 with a lot of triplets.
My idea would be to create a plug-in for such a conversion, but I am unsure, if it is worth to try it, because I have no overview about the possibilities to access the needed score elements.
Can anybody tell me? Or maybe, create a skeleton as basis?

I wouldn't recommend this being done as a plugin, but through actually improving the code behind "paste half/double duration" to handle the triplet conversion. Everything else is already in place.

This would of course be the best solution.

No need to do anything, this is a known issue that eventually we hope to solve.
Plugins can't handle triplets correctly (as in they can't detect whether a note is part of a tuplet or not)
