Coda between repeat bars only working on the repeat, not the first time around
A repeat bar encompasses 25-61 , but there's a d.s. al coda between 41-48. When playing the song from start to finish, it plays straight through the coda on the first time, but works properly on the repeat. How can I get it to function both times?

For me it works correct as it should with this added repeats. The roadmap isn't clear for me how it should be playback, maybe explain the roadmap (the desired order of measures), what you want to achieve for further assistance.
A jump is only taken on the final playthrough of a measure.
Please describe your roadmap and perhaps some combination with (highly uncommon) volta over that single measure 48 can be worked out.
How should it play back:
1-24, 25-? (... ?)

Any chance you could help me out with this?
The desired roadmap is 1-24, (25-48, 41-47, 49-61)x2, 62-end

A Jump can only be taken once in standard notation and thus currently also within MuseScore. Which makes your roadmap (jumping back within a repeat) an extremely complicated one.
My default advice (and for the sanity of your musicians) would be to simply copy m41-47 in between m48 and m49, after which you get a straightforward simple repeat.
Even with abusing the current volta implementation you cannot get your desired playback roadmap currently.
