added measures

I have added measures to a piece but I would like to know how to show individual measures instead of a single measure with the number above indicating the remainder of the piece. Also, when I cut (control-x) and pasted from the new section to a previous section Musescore closed. and sadly didn't save a lot of work I did. :(
