How can i do this?

I tried doing something like this Screenshot_1.png where the f-bar is connected to the g-bar, and it sorta worked... i got one problem tho. In my version, the f-bar has these lines which i don't want in there. Screenshot_2.png Is there a way to remove them? like how it's done in this file? Screenshot_1.png
