How to auto split all rests
Is there a way to split every single measure of rest (on score creation) into eighth notes? I primarily use this to make accompaniments to play along with and learn my rhythms more accurately, but I find it very frustrating when I come across a measure of rest, hit a key such as 3, 4, or 5, and it doesn't change subdivide the rest into many consecutive 16th, 8th, or quarter notes. Is there a way to automatically do that with all measures of a piece, automatically, on creation?

Sort of found a workaround for this. Just select the entire score with a shift click and then click on the note length you want. You have to do it multiple times because it won't do full measures of rest at once.
If anyone comes up with a different solution feel free to post it
My workaround in case I wish to see a certain pattern is to create 1 measure of it, then select the measure and press and hold R to have it replicate over the remaining measures.

sure, use R, for 1 measure, and when you have 4 or eight measures, select them , and tape for the 8, it's very fast
Can you explain more about what you are trying to do? it wouldn't normally be necessary or even particularly helpful to split rests up in this way. - normally music is simply entered left to right.
That said, if you do have some unusual special reason to need this, you can fill a score with rest s pretty quickly in a number of ways. if you press 4 then press and hold 0, your score will be filled with rests in a matter of seconds. Or, fill a couple measures this way, the select them and press and hold "R" as suggested above.
