Using PDF Converter

I'm trying to convert selections of an opera
Specifically.. the Doll Aria http://burrito.whatbox.ca:15263/imglnks/usimg/6/60/IMSLP19749-PMLP06710… pages 120-128
and http://burrito.whatbox.ca:15263/imglnks/usimg/6/64/IMSLP24552-PMLP55369… pages 314-320

I'm hoping to use these for college auditions and submissions to non-music colleges. I'm somewhat self-trained (I got the breathing, basics, head voice, tone improvement) a while ago, but I have to self-study my last 2 years for financial reasons. I really want to be able to hear the piano and the melody and switch between them to help me train.

None of the page selections or whole operas are getting changed. I've tried importanting cleaner, more sharp pdfs like from Giulo Cesare but they fail the conversion, too.

What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it? Thank you.

PDF import is very experimental technology. At best, it's maybe where voice recognition technology (eg, Siri) was 25 years ago. Realistically, while it can worth a try, in most cases you will be better off entering the music yourself.
