Crash on changing time signature?

I have a piece of music. Using the PDF converter, I converted it, but it copied the first couple of bars wrong. It's okay after that, it's just that the piece is in 44 and the PDF converter has copied it to 22. Not a major difference, but whenever I try to change it, it crashes.

I also tried to C+P the whole document onto another but that failed as well, causing another crash.

Any advice?

In order to help, we would need you to attach the specific score you are having problems with and precise steps to reproduce the problem.

Most likely, the experimental PDF convertter simply did not do a good enough job, creating a corrupt score that will not turn out to be usable.
