There is already a feature request for this #21641: Cannot undo the editing of text in edit mode
Ok, thanks. Then let's hope it will be implemented.
Note that it isn't an "essential" feature but a nice to have which would help to "feel" that the software is "finished".

Tested in Version 3 ... it works now! Great.
