Set Voice Assignments Automatically
Hello,
I'm new to MuseScore and loving every bit of it. I did notice however, that each time I want to make a note entry it defaults to Voice1. Is it possible to set a preference or option whereby the voices could be mapped automatically as follows:
S = Voice 1
A = Voice 2
T = Voice 3
B = Voice 4
If this is possible I'd really appreciate your assistance in figuring out how to enable it. I've combed through the preferences but can't find anything that will clue me to getting this done.

Why would you want to force something that is clearly wrong?
This is a pretty common misconception:
In a Closed score SATB Arrangement (Soprano and Alto in top staff, treble clef,Tenor and Bass in bottom staff, bass clef) you need voice 1 and 2 only, in either staff.

I wasn't aware of this, otherwise I obviously wouldn't have done it. I will read up on the link you posted, thanks.

No problem, this is a very common misunderstanding, so you're definitly not alone ;-)
