complicated repeats

I know this is not the correct way to do this.
Though there is one external beginning pickup
note played only once, the
beginning repeat barline is for both repeats.
The digits are the repeat counts in the measure.
So the internal four measures play twice each
time through and the final measure says to
go back once.
The program is set to stop after the
third pair of playings of the
internal four measures.
I don't have any idea of how to accomplish this.
And the repeat count on the
inner repeat would have to be restored.
Do we use DS or DC

Well, "nested" repeats (repeats within repeats) are not correct music notation, so neither MuseScore nor human musicians reading the score will be likely to understand them. A DS at the end (to a segno after the pickup - DC would try to play the pickup again) would be the way to go, with a notation that says "take repeats" to override the default which is for repeats *not* to be taken on a DS. MuseScore won't obey the isntruction to take repeats, but the human musicians reading your score will.

If it's literally just four measures, you're almost always better off just writing them out, which solves the problem as well.
