Hi,

Can't select some syllables at once. (I'm working in Hebrew).

I select first syllable, than press "Shift" and select another sylable -->> the first selection disapear, and the last one left selected, with nothing seleted in between.
So I need to select one by one with "Ctrl".
Why it doesn't work ?

Thanks, Ofra

Hold down Ctrl and click on the syllables;
Use the filter and select all similar elements in the range, see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/selection-modes

____edit_______
Does not seem to work, I'm sorry, I do some testing ...

...
Ctrl + Click on the syllables;
Ctrl + C;
Click a note-> Ctrl + V seems to work.
Here, on Vista, I can not paste in notepad or text box :(

Shift+click only works to select ranges of *music*, not individual lyrics. But if you want to select all lyrics within a range, there is an easy way to do that. First select the range itself - eg, click a *ntoe*, shift+click another - then right click a lyric and click "Select / All Similar Elements in Range Selection". Of course, ctrl+click also works if the lyrics are not contiguous.

I'm working on Windows 7 / MS 2.0.3

It seems to me that selecting range of lyrics sould work same as selecting range of notes or measures – by holding 'Shift'. Especially if selecting individuals holding 'Ctrl' – works correctly with lyrics and notes and measures.
Am I wrong ?

Thanks, Ofra

That would be an interesting new feature, but currently, range selection only works for true range - all elements from one time position to another. That is the definition of a range selection. The Selection Filter cna be used to *exclude* certain element types from a range, but the type of selection you are describing - where the notes themselves are not selected but other elements are - is not a range selection in MuseScire, it is a lsit selection - the same type created by Ctrl+click. Or, as I described, by the "Select / All Siumilar Elements in Range Selection" command, which will convert a range selection to a list selection containing only elements of the given type within that range. You can also get similar as well as more complex selections using Select / More a d the various options there to add to or subtract from a selection.

So, feel free to submit a feature request asking that click / shift+click of inidividual elements of the same type should be yet another way to create list selections. I do think it's a good idea.
