Adding a stave

Hi everyone.

I am using a choral score and I would like to add an extra short
stave above the Soprano lines so that I can input a solo section with
words. Does anybody know how do you do this please as I have looked everywhere in the manual
but can't seem to find the information I need?

Welcome, Barry! Press [i] to open the Instruments dialog to add another staff; enter the notes and lyrics for the solo section; then, go to Style > General..., and check the box for "Hide empty staves."
