Hooks/Flags
When stacking notes with both stems facing same direction, the result is the two notes look like a 16th note. Relevantly, if you wanted to just "cut" the hook out, the option is available, but nothing happens when it is chosen.

I'm having trouble picturing what you mean. Are you talking about a situation where you have three independent voices in the same stsff, snd thus two of them have to have their stems points in the same direction? I think the common thing to do in those cases is to offset one voices a bit horizontally, so the stems don't actually overlap. But if for some reason you want them to overlap, you could presumably adjust the lengths of the stems so the flags coincide. Not sure if I'm even talking about the same thing as you, though. Could you describe what you are doing in more detail, and maybe post an example?

Yes, sorry. I should have uploaded one since it is easy enough. Would have helped in the long run. :)
So, by the image, I hope you understand. And by what you say, I suppose I could always adjust the stems so the flags could coincide. But, what I was doing was grabbing one of the flags and moving it off the page. However, by doing that and then closing and reopening the project later, the flags had returned, even after saving the project with them removed.
I guess what I am also saying through all this, quite indirectly, is that the option to delete the flag, but not cause the note to change it's value, should also be available for situations like this.
P.s.- I just realized what the option to "cut" actually does. So, forget what I mentioned about cutting out the flag..

In that case, I would use a chord and not voices. So just using Shift + notename to enter more stacked notes in voice 1.
If you need two voices because well, there are two people singing, I would use opposite stems and so voice 1 and 2. Cuting the stems is very suboptimal here.

Right, Voices are meant for situations where the two parts have different rhythms or where you otherwise need the stems to be in opposite directions. If you just want two notes on the same stem, you should do that without using a second voice.

Ok, thank you for the help. I didn't know I could add a second note without using a second voice. Thank you for letting me know about that. That is much easier.
