score opens in preview mode?

When I click on a score to open it, it opens in the same reduced size as the previews. The view size shows as 100%. I can increase the size of the score by increasing the view to 400% but the buttons and functions remain so small that I can't use them.
It seems that the entire page is shrunk into the top left portion of my screen.

If that doesn't help, please tell us what version of MuseScore, what OS, and details about your monitor (size and resolution, whether you have multiple monitors connected or connections via non-standard methods, etc). Ideally post a screenshot as well, showing the menus, palettes, and toolbars as well.
