unable to edit instruments name

Using "Créer>Instruments" gives a twofold windows, with and edition button operating only on the left half-windows....but nothing change in the score.
Double clic on the name of the insturment in the score switch to edit mode.....except that keyboard becomes inactive....
I had to edit directly the mscx file to change the names of instruments....

The edit button in the "Create > Instruments" dialog is still under construction.
To change the instrument names right click on an empty part of the staff and select "Staff Properties..."

When I followed this advice, all the short names showed up appropriately, but the first name did not change, although I changed it in the describe spot.

with r1598 Ubuntu 810 I have no problem to change the long and short names

I'll use the same concept for other objects...... (for instance the size of a texte somewhere in the score.....
