Why is MuseScore.com giving me a little bit of trouble in regards to playback?

I just posted an Arrangement of Canon in D. In my program, I used Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra SFZ. When I uploaded it, it showed that The instruments were "Guitar Bass (3) Viola" Which was NOT what I put on the score. I used the standard Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Violoncello, Contrabass. Also, the sound does not play at all. Do I have to make the score have an SF2 soundfont before I upload it? I already saved a copy of it and made it have an SF2 soundfont instead of SFZ to upload if this situation is true for anybody.

Sonatina is not a GM-comaptible soundfont, so presumably you customized the Mixer entries in MuseScore to get the sounds you wanted. Unfortunately those changes are not compatible with a GM-compatible soundfont like the one others users will be using, or that the mobile app uses, or that is used on musescore.com. Best to keep to the a GM-compatible soundfont when developing scores to share with others (and even so realize that everyone will hear it with their own soundfont - but at least if you use one that is GM-compatible, it will be the right instruments.

Well, it doesn't actually matter what soundfont you are using - musescore.com always uses the default. What's important is that you use the Mixer to change the sounds back to what they should be. And to do that, it will be easier if you are using a GM-compatible soundfont - otherwise it will be tricky to figure out which Sonatina sound corresponds to which standard sound.

Anyhow, once you have restored the corrects sounds, then re-upload it.
