Drumset Edit Not Available after Load

• Jul 21, 2016 - 20:06

Hey all-

Recently I have been unable to access the "Edit Drumset" menu that usually appears when inputing notes on percussion staves. I will start writing, load my saved drum-set layouts (for all individual parts) and input my notes on specific lines, then once I reload the piece, the problem occurs leaving me with 5-line percussion parts stuck on only the top line of the staff. The single line percussion parts (snare drum, cymbals) are not affected.

Thanks for any help anyone has to offer.

In a certain way (by the symptoms: inability to enter a note in a staff, and because I get a crash also), this issue recalls me this one: #97416: Toggle between clefs of unpitched percussion and pitched percussion leads to a crash
I get the crash with these steps:
1) Select measure 10 Cymbal (last staff)
2) "N"
3) Select "C" in the palette bottom page.
4) Type this C into the same measure 10
5) Click on the measure 10 of the immediate staff above (ie Bass Drum)

Result: crash

By now, I don't see all the ins and outs of this issue (except it makes me think of the issue mentioned above, as already said).
But it seems be fixed only by changing the instrument of the second and third staves: ie a change by the same instrument.

So: right-click on the second staff -> Staff Properties -> Instrument change -> Choose in "All instruments": Tenor Drums (Marching Percussion) -> Ok

Ditto for the third staff -> Staff Properties -> Instrument change -> Choose in "All instruments": Bass Drum (Unpitched Percussion) -> Ok

So, the fixed score: Dark Skies B.mscz
