Midi Help

• Aug 1, 2016 - 14:06

Hello,

I have purchased 12 Fujitsu desktop machines win7 64bit OS and 12 MK-6000 Keyboards from Gear4Music for our school.

For some reason Musescore2 will not detect the keyboards in the software. I have tried some other midi software and the keyboards detect ok without any issues. I have looked through the tutorial videos and still am not having any luck. Would anyone be able to help me please.

Many Thanks
Ian

Is there a usb-midi driver you need to install?
When you plug the MK-6000 into the Fujitsu desktop, does the OS acknowledge a connection?
Are you starting MuseScore after the keyboard is switched on?

You may need to inform MuseScore which is the MIDI keyboard. Go to Edit → Preferences. In the preferences dialog, click on the I/O tab and select your device under the section labeled "PortAudio".

See:

Regards.

Hi There,

Windows recognises the keyboard and installed the keyboard as a USB2.0-MIDI in device manager. When you go into musescore and go to I/O tab it does not list the midi device there under any of the drop downs. This is starting musescore after the keyboard has been powered on.
