Converting scores to mp3

• Sep 5, 2011 - 11:01

Hi - I have been saving scores as wav files and then converting them to mp3s using Roxio audio, and the sound is a bit ropey - sounds quite echoey. Not sure if I'm doing it the best way or what frequency I should be using for the mps - any guidance would be appreciated!

Which version of MuseScore are you using? MuseScore 1.1 has some improvements for audio export. How does the wave file sound compare to the MP3?

I suggest you use the free Audacity sound editor.

Assuming the WAV quality is fine, the quality of the MP3 will depend on the bit rate setting you
use for compression. I generally use 128kps or 192kps to publish sonds on Soundcloud.com
