Possible to show lyrics only in parts, not in score? (+ bug: dashes not hidden with lyrics)

I'm making an S-A-T-B score (four separate staves). Naturally, I want each part (S, A, T, and B) to have lyrics. However, that means the lyrics are shown in all four staves in my score, which is detrimental to the layout.

Is it possible in any way to show lyrics only in parts, but not in the score? I've tried hiding the lyrics in the score, but they still take up space (also, the dashes between some syllables are visible, so consider that aspect a bug report - see the enclosed PDF, in the S staff).
