creating irregular measure
I find it difficult to create an irregular measures, note duration of dotted minim + quaver. I have used the measure properties, but still yet i am unable to figure it out. please help me out.

The numbers to enter would depend upon the time signature in your score, but in general, you can adjust the actual duration of a measure to a different value than the nominal duration by changing the figures in the 'measure duration' section of the Measure Properties dialogue.
Assuming you are working in 4:4, for a dotted semi-breve plus a quaver--that is to say, 6.5 beats--this requires some arithmatic because the dialogue won't accept an input in half-beats. You would have to change the meter from 4 to 8, and then enter 13 as the actual number of beats.

Thanks alot, I have edited the post, I mistakenly wrote dotted semibreve instead of minim, and i have understood how to go about it
