Where can I find the default instrument list?
I was looking for a particular instrument, it's midi number is 89, pad (new age) how do I find out if it is included in the fluidsynth package?
Secondly if I do find it, how do I insert it into a score if it's not listed in the instrument list under "create instrument"?

You will find the default instrument list in instruments.xml which resides in the MuseScore templates directory.
On my system that resides in C:\ProgramFiles\MuseScore
The syntax looks pretty straight forward, but I would take a backup before trying out a customisation.
