Working with lyrics
I ran into an interesting issue yesterday with lyrics in MS 1.1. I was arranging a piece for male choir where the theme was in the bass clef (tenor line). The other parts have a different structure and hence I can't tie the lyrics to them. I had to select the tenor line and start entering, but it unexpectedly drops the lyrics below the bass clef.
So, I have to manually move all the lyrics into the proper location, which has to be done one element at a time... bah! And there's no simple way to put them all in a straight line.
Later on, the melody is back in the treble clef and I can enter lyrics normally. However, this means that when I needed to adjust the lyrics location so they didn't interfere with the notes, it moved the ones I manually moved down too far and I have to move them again. Doh!
I always new MS didn't handle lyrics the best, but sometimes it's very frustrating.

I just read a posting from Marc S regarding Ctrl-drag, and how unknown and unintuitive this feature is. I completely agree! I know of no other program where you can drag select multiple items, and you can't just drag them around with the mouse without needing to hold Ctrl first. At least I now know how to move lyrics around easily.
If you Right click the lyric text and choose Select>More you will get a dialogue which enables you to select all the Lyrics for Voice 2 and then CTRL drag them to where you want them.

Yes, this I knew about but also easily forget about. The ctrl-drag however was completely unknown to me.
