Easiest way is to use the Snippet Creator plugin (download via the Plugins link on the menu at the right side of this page), which will create a PNG file containing the example in the current file. You'd need to create one MuseScore file per example. Then after exporting all the examples as PNG, import them into Word. It's a bit cumbersome of a process, but it does work. Or, you could try living on the edge and downloading a nightly build for the next major release, 2.0, which allows you to export a selected region directly.

I downloaded the plugin files. Now, how do I open them up?
