Guitar notes are one octave too high?

• Mar 24, 2009 - 03:47

Hi,

During playback of a score for solo guitar, the pitch appears to be raised by one octave relative to the actual tuning on the guitar. Is there a way to lower the pitch by an octave during playback...without changing the location of the notes on the G clef? I am using v. 0.9.2 (current package for Debian Lenny). Regardless, its an amazing program.

Thanks,
Carlos

In more recent versions of MuseScore the guitar uses the octave G clef with an "8" below it by default. I don't remember if 0.9.2 has octave clefs or not (see clef for an image of the current 0.9.4 palette).
