Issue Tracker: Code and User Interface

• Nov 1, 2011 - 23:15

I would tend to select code if it's a bug report, but I've sometimes noticed people listing User Interface.

What is the difference between the two and how should they be used?

User Interface is how you interact with the program, say a dialog box or a checkbox option, workspace, menus, shortcuts etc. Sometimes its how the interface is designed that you want changed. Those, to me, would be UI.

Crash/hang bugs, programming errors, compile errors, etc would be code. Thats a simple look at it. The lines can blur.
