Note Entry (without beat constrained rests)

Dear Friends,

Thanks a lot for this great software !

I´d like to ask if there is a way to do a row of notes, like a 12-tone row, without minding about rhythm and AFTER THAT, work out the rhythm of the piece.

For example, in Finale simple entry, you can enter notes and after that you can change the values.
In Musescore, if I enter, for example, four quarter notes and change the first quarter note to any small value, like a 16th note, musescore will put a 16th note plus a 16th rest and a 8th note rest in the space.
The software´s input method works completing the rests within a beat constrained way.

Is it possible to change it ?

Something like entering the notes and, when changing the values, the next note of the row came after, instead of a rest ?

Best,
Julio

Under Edit / Measures, see the Split and Join commands. You can enter the notes into separate measure then join them. or join a bunch of empty measures then enter the notes. But, you'll still want to get the rhythm right the first time, as changing the length of a note won't magically shift the subsequent notes earlier or later in time.
