How do I listen to someones piece?

• Dec 12, 2011 - 02:26

I went to the "Made with Musescore" section of the forums and was unable to hear the scores that needed downloading. I tried opening them with a few different types of software and nothing came up. Thanks for the help.

trying to liten to these files as if they are audio files.

They are "Scores", files designed to write music for others to play, primarily.

If you want to hear them, you will need to download a (free) version of Musescore appropriate for your operating system. These can be found under the "Download" button on the main page.

You will then, (perhaps) be able to listen to them immediately or your system may need a couple of minor tweeks. You can get help in these forums.

Understand that they are MIDI files, and the sound will depend on your computer. You can alter the sound if you want to learn more about how this software works.

Have fun and good luck.

I have musescore downloaded on my mac, though it has been in use by my girlfriend for awhile and I've not been able to try to play them on the mac. I'll just wait and see if that works. =) Thank you for your help!
