Midi keyboard input and key signature

muse Score 2.0.3 Win 7 32 . M audio Keystation 49.
Key of Piece entered as B (actually piece is in (G Sharp Minor)
Instrument Piano
Notes entered on Keyboard: G A B C D B A G
Notes appearing on score: F double sharp, A natural, B, B sharp, D Natural, B natural ,A, F.
If I do not use a key signature all the notes appear in muse correctly.
any help appreciated.

Well, those are appropriate spellings for those notes in that key. The leading tone in G# minor is correctly spelled Fx, not G, etc. The fourth note could arguably be spelled either way. Without a doubt, B# is going to be *much* more common than C in the key of G# - it's the borrowed major third. In the key of B, the #1 scale degree is quite common as the third of the VI (aka V/ii) chord and is more closely related to the key than the b2, which occurs only in some less common contexts.

If you have some special harmonic or other reason to go with a non-traditional spelling, you can hit "J" after entering the note to flip to a different spelling. But I wouldn't do so just because you have a notion that G is "easier" than Fx. It might be if you are in the key of C, but it won't be in the key of G# minor.
