Is there a way to write with no key signature?
Here's the deal in a nutshell. I'm a college music major, I used to be a finale user until our system crashed. My folks bought a fancy new Mac and they haven't given me permission to install my Finale on it, so I downloaded this on my laptop. I'm kind of in "crunch time mode" right now, I have a writing project I need done by next week. I'm a jazz composer and I frequently write without key signatures. Is there a way to do that with this software? An answer ASAP would be greatly appreciated!

Sure, just skip the key signature page in the Create Score dialogue and go straight to Time signature.

The problem, though, is that is you are writing for transposing instruments like saxophones and trumpets, then you'll suddenly find yourself with sharps in the key signature as soon as you turn off "concert pitch". So I simply change the key signature of those staves to Bb and Eb as appropriate while concert pitch is turned on, or else change them back to C while concert pitch is turned off. I believe there are some bugs in this regarding display of courtesy accidentals or something like that, depending on whether you do this at the beginning or at the end of the process. Unfortunately, it's been a few weeks since I've done that so i forget the details. I also experimented with *deleting* the key signature with concert pitch turned off, which actually does give you no key signature at all regardless of the the state of concert pitch, but definitely has issues with accidentals.
Here's the thread I started when I ran into these issues. Hopefully it gives you ideas of what to try and what not to try:

you could try right-click on it and use the option "set invisible"

But then there would be no accidentals!
