Fingering entry using number keys

• Jan 17, 2012 - 22:43

When entering fingering notation on a series of many notes, such as in exercises, it would save time if I could select each note and then type a digit to indicate the fingering. This should drop the associated numeric fingering entry on that note. Ctrl-digit or shift-digit could pick the circled string indicator from the same palette. This would be significantly faster than dragging and anchoring each glyph independently. This is only an issue with a densely-fingered score but that happens to be what I'm working on at present.

In general, it would be wonderful if we could manage a table of keyboard shortcuts for palette entries. Each palette cell could have its associated keyboard reference.
