ABC plugin users! How to turn 1/8th into 1/4 notes?

Hi,
I am using the ABC plugin for a children's composition app which exports notes to be scored.
The export is for me (not for the kids).
Upon pastingCECz|DFDz|B,DGF|EDCz|CECz|DFDz|GDGB,|FECz||,
I get eight notes instead of quarter notes.
How do I fix this?

This is correct - in ABC, the default for notes is eighth note unless you override it. There are two ways to do that. Either put a "2" after each note - telling ABC you want it to last for twice as long as the default - or put "L: 1/4" in the header of your score, telling ABC you want to use a quarter note as the default.
