Tiny note of no value below staff with stick down
How do I put a little note in at the bottom of each main note that has not value as a hint for a person to play a chord.
This programme is brilliant. Myself and my mum are impressed. She is a great player but has extremely low vision, thus I am typing up lots of her music. She know the chords and what she wants in but needs only a hint in the way of a small note. But how can I enter this.

Could either describe in more detail what you are looking for, or else maube post a picture of how you want it to look?

What mum would like if possible is to have what appears to be a tiny little note below the notes on the staff. It is just a visual hint that lets her know what other notes she will play. If I had a tiny graphic I could insert that would be ideal. But I do not know how to put in a graphic or if you could suggest anything else that would be great.
Open to any other ideas. have tried grace notes - they will not sit below the other notes. I have tried voices even when made small they are too big.
In my understanding, you'll probably want to use voices (see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices) to enter a note in the second voice. Then right-click on the note, select Note Properties, and then check the box that says Small (at the top). Hope that helps.

Thank you yes I have tried voices, but can not make the note small enough. I also need to put the same amount of vaues in the bar.
All mum wants is small - what look like notes but have not count they are only a visual hint. if I had a graphic picture of a note and there was a way to insert it that would do.
I have even tried to use grace notes - they seem to be the right size but can not put them below the notes.
Welcome an other suggestions to try, or if you know how to put in a graphic.

Maybe you could write that in paper and scan, to upload, so users can see exactly what you want to do, and help you. Other way could be handwriting and taking a photo.
If the problem of the small notes is the size, you can change it in Style--> Edit general style... --> Sizes --> Small notes size

I just tried your suggestion and put a second voice in and then went into edit small note size - it worked. It will be a tiresome job to get rid of all the rest but THANK you I can now put a little note in for her..

Get rid of the rest of what? Do you mean the *rests*? Just enter the note as a whole note and there will be no rests.
i have taken on board the 2nd voice and made the small notes 50%. can select all the notes in that voice and make small this is great. with one exception the stems are way too long even with small stems selected they are too long. I have tried properties on the stem and there is no way I can make them small, at this time so far I am selecting each individual stem and shortening so they a really small.
Can anyone help with this function on stems

I don't know a way to make a lot of stems smaller than normal at once - just one at a time. But it's easy to make notes completely stemless - select the notes, right click, prerties, stemless.
