Navigator display

This thread got me thinking about the navigator: https://musescore.org/en/node/138701

I find the navigator most useful in page display mode, much less in continuous mode because there the display is just stripes like a prison suit whereas in page display mode the page numbers are displayed along with the rest. This provides a way to "target" a certain section of larger scores quickly and speed up navigation.

How about adding some more information to the display? I am thinking about measure numbers and/or rehearsal marks. I the display showed the first measure number of each page in both modes (I suppose the system knows where the page breaks occur even when it is in continuous mode) it would help make the navigator more useful. Or if it displayed the rehearsal marks approximately where they are or even both rehearsal marks and measure numbers. The size of the page numbers right now is larger than necessary so one could shrink those to create space for the the other things. E.g. rehearsal marks at the top, page numbers at the bottom and measure numbers in the middle.

Would anyone else find something like this useful?

I put this as a feature request but it I think it is just a discussion topic at this point.

This looks promising I have to say, maybe too perfectionist: The navigator should not cover too much of the screen, meaning one will have to be selective about how much info to include. For the purposes of navigation measure numbers and page numbers by themselves would do the job.

I downloaded the plugin, installed it (still having problems with Apple's mania for adding additional file extensions!) and tried to run it. It crashed Musescore (2.0.3.1 on Mac) upon impact, so I have only the look at the plugin site to judge the idea on. But it seems a way forward has been pioneered here.
